Never got any of the expansions, so feel free to correct me on things. My argument is that raids in WoW and SWTOR have a form of matchmaking Group Finder that allows people to play a selection of raids from easy to hard difficulty for the older content. I know for SWTOR, the newer raids aren’t included in the Group Finder until later on in the year when people are more geared and experienced with the current expansion. Considering these raids are more complex than VoG and still require people to play their role at a basic level, it’s not like Destiny has to worry about people’s classes considering everyone’s primary method of doing damage is with shooting.
No matchmaking for strikes and since this game is almost done no one is even playing. So good luck playing any of the content you paid dollars for. Just the worst.

A More Directed and Focused Story In Destiny 1 , the story focused on re-establishing the influence of the Guardians, while battling the different enemy factions and dealing with the looming presence of the enigmatic force known as The Darkness. I wonder what it takes to please some of these people. The presentation is top notch and the game transitions seamlessly from menu to menu and location to location.
Then again, Destiny is a game that literally bores me to sleep. So a lack of matchmaking isn’t really going to change the course of my day one way or another, other than the fact that I’m writing.
It’s not yet clear whether that has been an improvement. I’ve been playing more and more PvP lately. It’s a logical progression — the PvE stuff has reached a predictable tempo for me, so I’ve been getting ready for Trials of Osiris and Iron Banner to come back next week. Generally speaking, I’m having a great time with the new maps, modes, and subclasses. I’m psyched to see how it all shakes out in IB and Trials.
I’m less sold on the new matchmaking system. For those not in the know, matchmaking is the behind-the-scenes stat-comparing that a competitive game does to pair players against similarly skilled players.
